A slow, intentional half-day in the Devon woods. Less walking, more noticing — the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, gently adapted.
About this hike
We walk four kilometres in total, but spend most of the day in three or four wooded pauses — guided breath, gentle stretches, a long lunch in a clearing. Suitable for anyone who can walk on a soft trail for thirty minutes at a stretch.
What to bring
- A sit-mat or a small blanket
- Layers — woods are cool even in summer
- A packed lunch (we'll share)
- An open mind
Accessibility
The main trail is mostly flat with a few short slopes. Step-free throughout. Carers welcome at no charge — message us first.
